A workshop built on the tried and tested techniques developed by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), employing a learning-by-doing approach in the form of a cycle of theory - demonstration - practice - feedback – review.
Includes examination of:
- the rules of advocacy
- court etiquette
- the mechanics of building your case and anticipating that of your opponent
Participants will practise their advocacy skills in the context of a commercial litigation dispute, in a series of contested applications. Video recording and both plenary and one-to-one feedback complete the learning experience.
